7pm | Stroll through Palermo Viejo

The early evening is a good time for a walk through this neighbourhood.

Present in tours

Plaza Cortázar (ex Plaza Serrano) is a popular meeting point at sundown. The surrounding streets are full of design shops, good restaurants, fashionable bars and terrace cafes. Plaza Costa Rica with bars restaurants, and a merry-go-round for kids is another option.

You can get lost in the surrounding streets and look out for street art in pasajes Soria, Santa Rosa and Russell, and grab a beer and some peanuts to watch as the sun goes down. Nearby is Calle Borges, named after the writer who lived in this area when he was young.

Tip:

At the corner of Dorrego and Niceto Vega, you'll find the Colegiales flea market, an antiques fair where you can find everything from restored furniture to old records.

Moving on:

Time to eat! Stay in this area and choose a parrilla to sample Argentina's famous steaks.
