Parque Roca

The city's biggest venue for tennis.

This park, located in the southern Villa Soldati neighbourhood, was become the city's focal point for tennis thanks to the creation of the Estadio multipropósito Mary Terán de Weiss, a 14,500 capacity stadium named after Argentina's first major female tennis player.

The park has significant infrastructure for tennis and other sports, with tennis and softball schools, six tennis courts, 12 mini football pitches, 19 football pitches, two basketball courts, four volleyball courts, a swimming pool and an athletics track. The site will be used at the Olympic village for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

In summer, the city government creates artificial beaches in the park, complete with deck chairs, parasols, showers and various family activities.
