Located on the riverside at the extreme northeast of the city, the 32-hectare Children’s Park offers privileged views of the Rio de la Plata, and plenty of space for kids to run about.
There are sandpits, children’s playthings and kites for hire - the wind from the river makes kite flying a popular activity.
The park is home to a wide range of native birds, and has picnic tables and several cycle lanes.
There are kiosks and public toilets.
During the summer months (January and February), the park is given a makeover and transformed into a beach, complete with sand, parasols, sun loungers, showers, and activities such as beach volleyball. There’s free wifi connection too.
