Engineering Faculty - Paseo Colón site

This imposing building was built in the mid-20th century for the Fundación María Eva Duarte de Perón, the charitable foundation run by the then First Lady of Argentina. "Evita" died in 1952 and and never used the building, and following the military coup against Perón in 1955 it was redesignated to University of Buenos Aires' Faculty of Engineering.

The building is actually a replica of the building belonging to the Faculty of law in Recoleta, with a monumenalist neoclassical style typical of the time.
