Belgrano

The river reached these banks until the mid-19th century when an artificial embankment was built as part of the construction of what is now the Mitre railway line. The banks are home to more than 60 species of trees and plants and are a popular place to meet friends and sunbathe.

The many sculptures in the park include a replica of the Statue of Liberty made the creator of the original, Frenchman Frédéric Bartholdi. There's also a bandstand where people meet to dance tango in the evenings.
