La Flor de Barracas

Towards the end of 2009, a sign on facade of this historic cafe announced the two-floor building was for sale. Neighbours feared the worst: that the building would be demolished and this century-old cafe would be lost. 

However, a local businesswoman stepped in and saved the historic site. The cafe is now one of the more than 70 listed bares notables, or historic bars, in the city.
