La Biela is a classic located on one of the nicest corners of Recoleta. Intellectuals such as Jorge Luis Borges, Adolfo Bioy Casares, and Silvina Ocampo, and sportsmen such as Froilán González and Charly Menditeguy frequented this elegant cafe, which offers a view over the square outside.
Triva:
Two of the cafe's most illustrious regulars, Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares, are immortalised in two life-size sculptures sitting at one of the cafe's tables.
