8.00pm | China Town

The Far East in the north of Buenos Aires.

In the neighbourhood of Belgrano, between the streets Arribeños, Mendoza, Juramento and Montañeses, you'll find Chinese restaurants, supermarkets, buddhist temples and more. These streets are the scene of big celebrations during Chinese New year.

The Barrio Chino began to emerge in the 1980s, as a centre of the city's growing Taiwanese population. The archway decorated with dragons that marks the entrance to the neighbourhood was brought from China ingreso, elaborado en cemento y piedra, fue traído especialmente desde China. Each column has a stone lion at its base.
