7.00pm | An evening at the races

Our next stop is full of adrenalin

Present in tours

The Palermo Racecourse, or Hipódromo de Palermo holds horse races every Saturday evening until 9.30pm. Access to the Paddock stand, at the corner of the avenues Libertador and Dorrego, is free, and watching both the races, and the people betting, can be an exhilirating experience. The site is also worth visiting for its grand Belle Epoque architecture, and the elegant French restaurant La París. If you're in the city in November, don't miss the Gran Premio Nacional, the biggest race in the annual calendar.

Tip:

If you have time before hitting the Hipódromo, drop by the rose garden within Tres de Febrero Park
