3.30pm | Caminito

The city’s open-air museum.

Caminito is one of the city’s most iconic sites, and a must for all visitors. Its old sheet metal tenements, typical of La Boca neighbourhood, are painted many different colours in what is an open-air museum measuring almost 150 metres in length.

Enjoy the colours, which were painted in the 1950s by local residents including the painter Benito Quinquela Martín, and explore the entire passageway, entering in the former tenements, and admiring the work of artists who depict Buenos Aires’ most colourful side.
