News: Buenos Aires meets operators at USTOA conference
The United States Tour Operators Association's annual conference aims to improve programmes and itineraries in different destinations.

The Buenos Aires City Tourist Board took part in the United States Tour Operators Association's (USTOA) annual conference in Florida. The conference, which is held annually in different US cities, is a commercial meeting with a space for networking in which active members meet with destinations and tourism service providers.

On this occasion, the city maintained 20 meetings with tourism operators who are members of the association and offer programmes in Latin America, presenting the city's tourism options, as well as the digital tools available to visitors to help them during their stays.

The association, founded in 1972, has more than 60 active members with a purchasing power for tourism packages of 15 billion dollars and a total of 8.6 million travellers each year. Its more than 500 associated members include destinations, hotels, receptive tourism operators, specialist press, airports, car rental agencies, and travel insurance companies.

Representing the City Tourist Board was Fernando Amer, operations manager for International Markets in the Department of Tourism Promotion.
