This pizzeria was founded by the Jamardo family, creators of the chain of pizzerias La Continental, and sold in 1980 to Manolo and Baldomero, who with much enthusiasm and the help of master pizza chef Emilio, gave La Moderna a second lease of life. Locals adore the 15 varieties offered here, the deep-pan dough and the fugazzetta characterised by onions sautéed without oil.
