El Obrero

At the start of the 20th century, immigrant workers flocked here to eat at economic prices.

This parrilla-bodegón is a classic of the southern part of the city. The walls decorated with football memorabilia are a big draw for soccer fans, and the kitchen mixes Spanish (octopus and seafood) and Italian (homemade pasta) fare with classic Argentine barbecued meat. The salads and fries that accompany are served in generous portions.

Inauguration: 1910
Speciality: bife de chorizoentraña.
