Hostels with special rates

On arrival, we recommend staying in your chosen hostel for at least a week so that you have time to find definitive accommodation for your stay in the city. We recommend going to look at apartments in person before agreeing to rent.

You can search for hostels on the work and travel map at the bottom of this page. Clicking on each hostel, you'll find a contact email address so you enquire about the dates of your stay. Mention #StudyBA to obtain a discount on seven- and 15-night stays. For seven nights, you'll receive  a special rate of US$ 110 in a shared room, breakfast included. (Subject to availability; check each hotel's cancellation policy on its website).

When you check in, you'll have to show your passport with your “Vacaciones y Trabajo” visa, to confirm the discount rate.

SUBE travel card

We recommend buying a SUBE travel card as soon as possible on your arrival. You'll need the card to use public transport - buses and the subte (underground metro) - in Buenos Aires. On the work and travel map, you can find shops near your hostel where you can buy the card for 25 pesos. You can charge your card at national lottery outlets, many kiosks, and at subte stations. Bus travel costs 6.50 pesos per journey, and subte travel costs 7.50 per journey.

You can also get your SUBE card from the Recoleta Tourist Assistance Center. If you go there to get your SIM card, you can get both at the same time.
