As of March 20, 2020 and by Decree 297/20, the entire country entered a period of social,

preventive and obligatory isolation.

What does this mean?

That you cannot leave your home except to provide yourself with essential items, such as food,

cleaning supplies and medicines.

If you do not comply with these rules, you are breaking the law.


If you have traveled to a country where the virus is spreading or have been in contact with

someone who tested positive, you must stay in isolation for 14 days.

If you have any of the symptoms, call free of charge at 107.

News: Buenos Aires promotes MICE tourism at IBTM World, Barcelona
The city tourist board attended the 31st edition of IBTM World in Barcelona as part of its MICE marketing plan.

Continuing to position the city as a major MICE destination, the Buenos Aires City Tourist Board took part in the 31st edition of IBTM World in Barcelona November 27 - 29. More than 3,000 exhibitors from 150 countries attended the event, which attracted 15,000 people and hosted 70,000 pre-arranged meetings.

Exhibitors included tourist offices from destinations around the world, conventions bureaux, hotels, exhibition and conference centres, airlines, and events specialists. The city's objective was to attract more events for the forthcoming years. Buenos Aires is 11th place in the world and the leader in the Americas for the number of international congresses and conventions held, according to the ICCA and the MICE segment is one of those that has most impact in the Argentine capital, which has seen growth in incentive trips this year.

The tourist board's participation in the event forms part of the MICE maketing plan that aims to boost the impact of the segment in the city.
